Remove Windows 7 to go back to the Windows version available

The Windows 7 beta tester is no longer interesting, so you want to uninstall it to return to the old version of Windows. The following article will guide you on how to do it.
Danny introduced you how to "install parallel Windows 7 with the current operating system", however, after a period of use and you feel the trial version of Windows 7 is not suitable I want to remove it from the system.
The easiest way to remove Windows 7 is to reinstall the operating system on the new partition containing Windows 7 to completely reformat the partition. However, this will result in the presence of two operating systems (possibly the same version) existing on the system, will be very inconvenient. In addition, there are many other inconveniences that will be mentioned later.
The following article will guide you how to remove Windows 7 to go back to using the original operating system without any problems that affect the system as well as the operating system available.
Remove Windows 7 from startup menu
As the previous article suggested, after installing Windows 7 in parallel with the old operating system, when you start the system will appear menu to choose which operating system to use. Therefore, the first thing to remove Windows 7 from the system is to remove this menu. If you proceed with installing the new operating system into the partition containing Windows 7 as mentioned at the beginning of the article, it may happen that the boot menu is still displayed although Windows 7 has been removed.
To do this, you boot the system with the old operating system (the operating system you want to keep, not Windows 7), then download EasyBCD here. Install and activate the program.
At the main interface, you click the Add / Remove Entries button. In the right pane, select Windows 7 and then click Delete. Now you have removed Windows 7 from the boot menu.
"Handling" partitions containing Windows 7:
In this article that introduces how to install Windows 7 in parallel with Windows product key, I showed you how to partition a new partition from the available partition on your hard drive to store Windows 7. However, After uninstalling Windows 7, you can "handle" this partition as desired.
There are 2 ways to solve:
Keep this partition intact and see it as a new partition on your hard drive.
- After uninstalling Windows 7 product key on this partition, you can "merge" this partition back into a partition containing Windows Vista so that you can add more space to the partition.
To do these two things, you need to use the GParted tool, download the iso file here (after the download, use any burning program to burn to CD). Next, you start the system from the CD just recorded. At the main interface, you will see two partitions: the partition containing Windows Vista and the partition containing Windows 7.
* Format the partition containing Windows 7 and view it as a normal partition: To do this, at the main interface, right-click on the partition of Windows 7, select Format to -> ntfs to reformat the partition. This is in NTFS format.
Click Apply to start the Format process. After the process is finished, your hard drive will have an empty partition, which is the partition that was previously Windows 7.
* Uninstall Windows 7 and merge the partition containing Windows 7 with the partition of Windows Vista: To do this, you click on the partition containing Windows 7 and press the Delete button on the menu.
- Next, click on the partition containing Windows Vista and select Resize / Move on the menu.
- In the next window, enter the amount of space to add new Size (which is the free space from the partition containing Windows 7 before). And Free Space Preceding as well as Free Space Following you fill 0.
- Finally click Add to increase the space for the partition containing Windows Vista.
Once the process is finished, quit GParted and reboot the system. You will see your system automatically using Windows Vista (instead of displaying the menu option 2 operating system as before). And depending on your choice above, maybe your hard drive will have a new partition, or the volume of the partition containing Windows Vista will be increased.
Note: Do the same if you install Windows 7 in parallel with Windows XP product key. Also, in case you install 2 Vista in parallel with XP, you can also use this method to remove one of the two existing operating systems.
So you can go back to using the familiar operating system before without having to reformat or reinstall the whole system. Hope this trick will be useful for you.
